Sophie Cunningham has watched on as the No. 6 seed Indiana Fever have pulled off a surprising run in the 2025 WNBA Playoffs. Even without Cunningham and Caitlin Clark, the Fever knocked off Brittney Griner and the No. 3 seed Atlanta Dream in the opening round, before stealing home court from the No. 2 Las Vegas Aces in the semifinals.

Cunningham, after spending her first six seasons with the Phoenix Mercury, joined the Fever via offseason trade and became an instant hit with Indiana fans. She began 2025 on the bench before earning a starting spot later in the year, averaging 8.6 points, 3.5 rebounds and 1.2 assists per game. But in August, a torn MCL in her right knee forced her to sit out for the remainder of the season.

While Cunningham has built new bonds with her Indiana teammates in 2025, she has not been in a public relationship since arriving in Indiana. She did, however, offer some relationship advice on a recent episode of her podcast, “Show Me Something,” with West Wilson. Asked about the three core values of a relationship, the Fever star shared her answer.

"I think mine would be more faith-based, so that sets a standard," Cunningham said. "I would say love, communication and fun."

Cunningham went on to admit that she would "never date" any of her "best guy friends."

"There are so many of literally my best guy friends, not really my girlfriends, but more of my guy friends that, like, I love them and I trust them, but if I was trying to date them, I would never date them," Cunningham added.

While Cunningham keeps her relationship status open, other members of the Fever have taken a step forward in their personal lives this year. Before the regular season began, Lexie Hull announced her engagement to Will Matthiessen.

Up next for the Fever, Game 3 against the Aces at Gainbridge Fieldhouse on Friday night before hosting Las Vegas once again for Game 4 on Sunday.
