As Sophie Cunningham recovers from her knee injury, the Indiana Fever free agent is also dealing with some personal changes in her life.
Cunningham — who established herself as the Fever's enforcer while averaging 8.6 points, 3.5 rebounds, 1.2 assists and 1 steal during the 2025 season — recently moved out of her Indiana home and returned to Phoenix, where she continues her recovery and rehab.
The 29-year-old guard also recently shared that she has adopted a new diet to better take care of herself, although she discovered that she has certain food limitations after undergoing a food sensitivity test to address her stomach issues.
That's not the only change that Cunningham is making in her personal life. During the latest episode of her "Show Me Something" podcast, she mentioned in passing that she plans to buy a house in Florida.
On Friday, Cunningham confirmed it with a post on her Instagram stories, sharing a photo of her on a beach in Florida. She wrote in the caption, "future home."

It remains to be seen when Cunningham will officially move to Florida, but she'll definitely be busy this WNBA offseason.
Aside from her recovery, she needs to navigate free agency. Cunningham just finished her one-year, $100,000 contract extension and is facing an uncertain future with the Fever.
While it's clear that Cunningham desires to return, and All-Star guard Caitlin Clark wants her back, Indiana will have some tough decisions to make. The Fever had 16 players on their roster at the end of the 2025 season, and only three of them are under contract for 2026.
