The Indiana Fever have shown improvement under new head coach Stephanie White, beginning the 2025 WNBA season with a 14-12 record and the franchise's first Commissioner's Cup championship.

And they have been able to accomplish this despite All-WNBA point guard Caitlin Clark missing over half their games due to injury.

WNBA Trade Deadline is Approaching

With the playoff chase starting to heat up as we enter the second half of the season, some postseason hopefuls may attempt to improve their team. And with the August 7 trade deadline approaching, ESPN's Kevin Pelton has proposed a few "trades to watch for."

The final trade proposal has the Fever adding some frontcourt depth, acquiring Myisha Hines-Allen from the Dallas Wings in exchange for Damiris Dantas and a 2026 second-round pick.

"As a third post behind starters Aliyah Boston and Natasha Howard, Hines-Allen should be an improvement," Pelton wrote. "And with the Wings five games out of the eighth seed, getting anything in return would probably make this trade worth it."

Myisha Hines-Allen Has An Impressive WNBA Résumé

Hines-Allen was a second-round pick in the 2018 WNBA draft, selected by the Washington Mystics. She spent seven seasons with the Mystics, helping them win a championship in 2019. She even made the All-WNBA second team in 2020.

At the 2024 trade deadline, Hines-Allen was traded to the Minnesota Lynx, where she appeared in 13 games. She signed with the Wings in the offseason, and, in 23 contests played, she averaged 6.4 points, 5.3 rebounds and a career-high 2.9 assists.

The Fever will continue their season on Wednesday, eyeing a third-straight win as they host the Phoenix Mercury at 7:00 p.m. ET at Gainbridge Fieldhouse.
