Last month, WNBA star and Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark teased her fans with her 'favorite flavor' by Gatorade ahead of an official launch. Few days later, the sports drink brand unveiled a special Limited Edition of the Rain Berry beverage for her fans.
The Rain Berry flavor's bottle featured Clark's picture on it. Only 2,200 capsules were made available and they were sold out in 22 minutes.
On Wednesday, Gatorade finally made its the Lower Sugar lineup publicly available. To celebrate the occasion, the company shared an exciting commercial featuring none other than Caitlin Clark, being front and center of this ad film.
In the video, the former Iowa Hawkeyes standout can be seen grabbing her favorite Rain Berry flavor and taking a sip. She also shows some moves with the basketball. It didn't take long for Clark to share the commercial on her own Instagram story.
Per Gatorade's official post on Instagram, the new Lower Sugar lineup has "No artificial flavors, sweeteners, or colors." Alongside Clark's favorite Rain Berry, there are three other flavors as well for consumers: Fruit Punch, Lemonade and Glacier Cherry. The latest commercial was actually shot back in December.
As for Clark, she will soon return to the court after a long phase marred by the groin injury. This month, she will make her USA national senior team debut during the FIBA Women's Basketball World Cup qualifying tournament in San Juan, Puerto Rico. The event will take place between Mar. 11 and 17.
In two months, she is also expected to appear in her Fever jersey in the WNBA. However, the ongoing situation regarding the collective bargaining agreement has painted clouds of uncertainties over the league's planned schedule.
