Sophie Cunningham and the Indiana Fever are set to return from the WNBA break on Friday, hitting the road to face Sandy Brondello and the Toronto Tempo. The Fever entered the break for the 2026 FIBA World Cup with a 26-14 record on the 2026 WNBA season, good for fifth place in the league standings, coming off a win over Rachid Meziane and the Connecticut Sun in late August.
Cunningham has played a big role for the Fever over the last two seasons, averaging 8.3 points, 2.3 rebounds and 1.3 assists per game. But the former Missouri guard has also been able to build her brand outside of basketball, even starting her own podcast, which was recently rebranded to “No Hesitation with Sophie Cunningham and Drew Hanlan.”
The Fever star has also partnered with numerous brands during her time in Indiana, including Once Upon a Coconut, European Wax Center, Marriott Bonvoy and Arby’s, among many others.
But Cunningham wasn’t done there with her off-court ventures. In fact, she had quite the busy WNBA break, heading back to her hometown in Missouri to spend some time on the family farm. And on Sunday, she even made her way to the World Wide Technology Raceway for the NASCAR Cup Series, meeting some of NASCAR’s biggest stars and joining the pregame show.
But after the NASCAR event, Cunningham returned to Indianapolis before sharing a story on Instagram, revealing that she has a “pretty big photoshoot” coming up on Monday after the Fever’s practice, although she didn’t mention who it was with.
The former Phoenix Mercury guard has been involved in multiple photoshoots during her WNBA career, most notably with Sports Illustrated Swimsuit, Adidas Gym Campaign and SKIMS, the popular clothing brand co-founded by Kim Kardashian.
“I’ve had a super long day,” Cunningham said on her Instagram story. “Just got back to Indy because we have practice tomorrow. I took the best shower of my life, but I have a pretty big photoshoot tomorrow. I can’t tell you which one yet, but it’s fun. After practice tomorrow.”
Cunningham and the Fever will face the Tempo on Friday at 7:30 p.m. ET before returning home to face the Washington Mystics on Sunday.
