Although she couldn’t participate in the inaugural season, her presence among elite players underscored her commitment to returning stronger in the WNBA.

Brink faced a challenging season as she joined the Lunar Owls in the newly established Unrivaled league. She appreciated the support from her teammates, who cheered her on from the sidelines. Although her physical contributions were limited, she remained engaged with the team and committed to her recovery process, which was expected to take several months.

Brink’s absence became a topic of conversation, as fans speculated about the impact on the Lunar Owls’ performance. The team, which featured notable players like Napheesa Collier and Skylar Diggins-Smith, was anticipated to carry on without her offensive skills. Nonetheless, Brink’s defensive prowess and leadership were missed, and her presence could have provided a boost to the team’s dynamics.
