The Los Angeles Sparks leaned on the big night from guard Rickea Jackson to turn away the Las Vegas Aces in a 97-89 victory at Michelob ULTRA Arena in Las Vegas Wednesday night. Jackson put on a show on offense, scoring a career-high 30 points. She shot 11-for-17 from the field and hit four of her eight attempts from the 3-point region while adding seven rebounds and an assist in an unforgettable evening for the former Tennessee Volunteers star.

Sparks star guard Kelsey Plum was among those left so impressed by Jackson's fiery performance. Plum, who spent her first seven seasons in the WNBA with the Aces franchise (including the 2017 season with the San Antonio Stars) before getting traded last February to Los Angeles, posted the following message on Instagram for Jackson: "@rickea for presssssidenttttttt ."

Plum contributed 13 points for the Sparks, making the bulk of her points from the foul line, where she went 9-for-9. The three-time WNBA All-Star also tallied nine assists and four rebounds in 37 minutes of action.

Jackson got hot early in the contest, as she went off for 14 points on 5-for-7 shooting in the first quarter. After going scoreless in the second period, Jackson came alive in the second half, where she racked up 16 points on an efficient 6-for-8 shooting.

The Sparks are still under .500 with a 4-7 record but they have won twice in three games.

Up ahead for Plum and the Sparks is a date with the Minnesota Lynx on Saturday at Target Center in Minnesota.
