Angel Reese and the Chicago Sky have had a tough start to the season, and it didn't get any easier against Kelsey Plum and the Los Angeles Sparks on Sunday, May 25.
L.A. handed Chicago its third consecutive loss by double-digits, dropping the Sky to an 0-3 mark, which ties the team for last place in the win column with the Dallas Wings and Connecticut Sun early in the 2025 WNBA campaign.
Plum, who hung 28 points around the Sky's collective neck to lead all scorers, added insult to injury during the contest after she blew past Reese and evaded her swiping attempt at a blocked shot, finishing at the bucket.
Plum set the tone for the game immediately following the first-quarter basket, taunting Reese with a gesture that has become commonplace in both the WNBA and NBA in recent years.

Despite the 13-point loss, Reese had her best game of the season, putting up 13 points and 12 rebounds.
The second-year forward has struggled mightily with her shooting percentage, both as a rookie and during the first two games of the new season.
However, she turned her efficiency numbers around some on Sunday by shooting 5-of-11 from the field and going 3-of-3 from the free throw line.
