The Indiana Fever's showdown against the Connecticut Sun got chippy and increasingly heated late in the game, leading to Caitlin Clark getting shoved and falling to the floor.

Midway through the third quarter, Clark was trying to force her way past Jacy Sheldon. However, the Sun guard appeared to poke the Fever playmaker in the face, causing some pain as Clark lost the ball.

Sheldon then proceeded to bump Clark, who responded by pushing her away. After seeing that, Marina Mabrey came to her teammate's defense and proceeded to hit the Fever sharpshooter from the side.

As players from both sides came to help their teammates, Lexie Hull was seen confronting Sheldon for what she did.

Fans took notice of Hull's actions and quickly heaped praise on her for stepping up to protect Clark.

"Lexie hull looking at Jacy after that foul like she will do everything to protect Clark lol," a commenter wrote. Another one said, "Lexie Hull was ready to [expletive] Jacy Sheldon up."

"Lexie Hull said to Sheldon 'YOU DONT WANT THIS [expletive] SMOKE!' LMFAO," a fan added.

"aye lexie hull stepped each time," a supporter remarked.

"lexie hull the ENFORCER," a social media user described the Fever guard.

A sixth viewer noted, "Lexie Hull was there by Sheldon telling her what’s up."

"Lexie Hull said not my best friend! That’s right sis," a poster further stated.

As a result of the heated moment, Caitlin Clark received a technical foul, along with Sun players Marina Mabrey and Tina Charles. Jacy Sheldon, meanwhile, was hit with a flagrant 1 foul.
