Lexie Hull and the No. 6 seed Indiana Fever kept their season alive with a Game 2 win over the No. 3 seed Atlanta Dream, earning another chance to advance in the 2025 WNBA Playoffs. On Thursday, the Fever met the Dream in a decisive Game 3 with a spot in the second round on the line.

Hull has watched on as many of her Indiana teammates have gone down with season-ending injuries, leaving the Fever shorthanded in the postseason. They include Caitlin Clark, Sophie Cunningham, Chloe Bibby, Sydney Colson and Aari McDonald. Even backup forward Damiris Dantas has missed the playoffs after being put into concussion protocol.

While the Fever have had their fair share of struggles this year, Hull thinks they have strengthened the team's bond.

Before Game 3, Hull spoke during Indiana’s practice availability. Asked about facing elimination, she acknowledged the pain the locker room has endured this year, saying it has only brought the team closer.

“Yeah. I mean, I feel like because we’ve been in the locker room where we’ve had, you know, tears and people crying and and circumstances that you don’t want anyone to have to go through, and we’ve gone through those together," Hull said. "People have counted us out all season long with the injuries we’ve had.

"And I think that has brought us closer together and try to prove people wrong. Show that, you know, it doesn’t matter if we’re out on the court. We love each other. We care for each other. We’re going to fight for each other. And, we’re just going to put our best product out there.”

With a win on Thursday night, Hull and the Fever would move on to Round 2, where they would face either the No. 2 seed Las Vegas Aces or the No. 7 seed Seattle Storm (1-1). But, with a loss, Hull would see her contract expire, becoming an unrestricted free agent.
