Lexie Hull has quickly become a fan favorite for the Indiana Fever over the past couple of seasons, but the 2025 season could technically mark her last with the team.

Hull, 26, was selected with the No. 6 pick by the Fever in the 2022 WNBA Draft out of Stanford, and is coming off her best season of her four-year career. On the year, she averaged a career-high 7.2 points, a career-high 4.3 rebounds, a career-high 1.8 assists and a career-high 1.2 steals per game.

While it was the best season of her career and she is a beloved figure alongside Caitlin Clark and Sophie Cunningham as they form what many fans call the "Tres Leches" trio, her rookie contract has come to a close. Hull was under contract for three years and a team option, with this season being the option year.

She has yet to sign an extension with the team, and when speaking to the media on Thursday at the Fever's exit interviews, she hada somewhat vague answer when discussing her future with the team.

When asked about what she thinks about being a restricted free agent Hull expressed that she wants to return to Indiana, but will simply just have to wait to see how things unfold.

"I'm a restricted free agent so I think that changes things a little bit," Hull said. "I've loved my years here in Indiana. Obviously, with a lot of uncertainty, you don’t know what’s to come, but I’ve built a life here. I love this franchise. I love the people, the fans, so we’ll see what comes.”

As a result of the ongoing and pivotal collective bargaining agreement negotiations, just about every veteran player across the league will be a free agent this offseason. Hull isn't the only player set to hit the market, as the Fever have just three players under contract ahead of 2026.

While there are going to be plenty of free agents, the ball likley won't get rolling until the CBA is settled, which means players like Hull will have to sit and wait.
