The Indiana Fever got their fourth win in their last five games by downing the Connecticut Sun, 88-71, on Tuesday. That win clinched a berth in the final game of the Commissioner's Cup against the Minnesota Lynx.

However, it was a testy and physical victory that was marred by dirty play. In the third quarter, Sun guard Jacy Sheldon poked Caitlin Clark in the eye, and a moment later, Marina Mabrey shoved Clark to the ground. Clark and Sheldon also exchanged trash talk a couple of other times during the contest.

Mabrey's sister and mother were caught on video in a TikTok post reacting to Mabrey's shove of the All-Star guard, and they seemed to be in disbelief.

Clark is clearly the new face of the WNBA, and she has helped lift the league to heights it possibly couldn't have imagined not too long ago. After becoming college basketball's all-time leading scorer at Iowa, she won the Rookie of the Year award and led the league in assists last year.

However, there has been a bit of a backlash against her, along with her being the target of some on-court actions from other players that some would call dirty.

Still, Caitlin Clark has continued to excel. After missing some time with a strained quad, she returned to action on Saturday and had 32 points, nine assists and eight rebounds in a win over the defending champion New York Liberty.

She scored 20 points and added six assists on Tuesday as Indiana improved its record to 6-5.
