Megan Gustafson’s offseason brought a little bit of everything this weekend. She celebrated her wedding shower, revisited her basketball roots, and faced the reality that her next WNBA stop is not set.
The Las Vegas Aces center-forward marked the occasion Saturday in Iowa. Iowa women’s basketball coach Jan Jensen joined the party and brought a life-sized cutout of Gustafson from her Hawkeyes days, according to Hawkeyes Wire.
Gustafson got engaged to David DiLeo in July. She also dropped in on an Iowa practice recently and shared pointers with the current roster, per the same report.
Such a special day spent being showered with lots of love and laughs!

For Vegas, the bigger storyline is what comes next. Gustafson can hit unrestricted free agency after the 2025 season.
That timing matters because the WNBA’s free-agency period remains on hold under a league moratorium as CBA talks continue with the WNBPA. As a result, teams have limited options to reshape rosters right now.
Still, Gustafson’s value in Las Vegas is obvious. She is coming off her first WNBA title after helping the Aces during their 2025 championship run.
The Aces open the 2026 season at home on May 9 at 12:30 p.m. PDT against the Phoenix Mercury, a rematch of the 2025 WNBA Finals that Las Vegas won in a sweep.
Then Las Vegas hits the road on May 10 at 3 p.m. PDT for a matchup against the Los Angeles Sparks.
