PHOENIX — The Phoenix Mercury looks to get back into the win column as they host the Dallas Wings on Wednesday, June 11.
Phoenix Preview
The Mercury comes off a loss against the Seattle Storm, 89-77, on June 7. Phoenix and Seattle exchanged leads throughout the game, with both teams having an answer for every shot the other made. The Storm broke the game open in the fourth quarter with a 12-point lead, with the Mercury unable to catch up.
Phoenix is 6-4 and continues to hold second in the Western Conference. They have the second-best record in the WNBA — only behind the Minnesota Lynx and New York Liberty.
Dallas Preview
The Wings come into Phoenix with a loss to the Minnesota Lynx, 81-65, on June 8. The Wings fell behind the Lynx in the first quarter but outscored Minnesota 42-33 in the next two quarters. After cutting a 17-point deficit to one, Dallas was unable to keep the rally going and was held scoreless for the majority of the fourth quarter.
Dallas is now 1-9 and 13th in the Western Conference.
