PHOENIX — Phoenix Mercury star Alyssa Thomas made her return to the court on Wednesday night and quickly made an impact against the Dallas Wings on June 11.
Thomas was sidelined due to an injury on her left calf and missed five games. In her first game back, Thomas scored 11 points, with 10 assists and two steals. Thomas spoke to the media after her return, expressing her excitement to be back with her teammates.
“Finally we’re starting to get our whole team back,” she said. “So it’s just really exciting and a great game to come back for.”

Before the game, Thomas received a warm welcome from the Mercury fan base, known as the X-Factor, during lineup introductions and credited them with energizing the team throughout games.
“When we’re having bad moments in the game and you hear the fans cheering, it just gives you a whole other boost that takes it to another level,” said Thomas.
Thomas and the Mercury return to action this Sunday, June 11 against the Las Vegas Aces.
