The Chicago Sky hold a 3-7 record during the 2025 WNBA season after Sunday's win against the Connecticut Sun. They will face off against the 4-7 Washington Mystics on Tuesday in the final game of the Commissioner's Cup.
2024 WNBA All-Star Angel Reese is having another strong season, averaging 10.4 points and 11.9 rebounds per game. She also recorded her first career triple-double during Sunday's matchup.
Reese saw her game improve this offseason while playing in the Unrivaled League, where she won the Defensive Player of the Year award.
She and her team, which featured players like the Phoenix Mercury's Kahleah Copper and the Mystics' Brittney Sykes, won the league's inaugural championship as well.
Copper and Reese grew close while playing together for Rose Basketball Club in Unrivaled, and recently, they have been poking fun at each other on social media in a variety of ways.
Although Sykes, their other Rose teammate, faces Reese and the Sky on Tuesday evening, she took to social media before the game and responded to Reese's recent light-hearted exchanges with Copper.
"The girls are beefin on the internet," Sykes wrote. "We need this ️ REUNITE THE ROSEBUDS @kahleahcopper @Reese10Angel."

Sykes is a two-time WNBA steals leader and has been an All-Defensive selection on four occasions during her nine-year career.
She is averaging a career-best 19.4 points and 4.5 assists per game this season in Washington, as well as 4.4 rebounds per contest.
Copper just made her season debut after missing the first 11 games of the 2025 season due to injury. During her first game back, she played just 18 minutes but managed to collect 11 points, two rebounds, an assist and a steal.
Chicago hosts the Mystics at Wintrust Arena on Tuesday evening. Tipoff is scheduled for 8:00 p.m. ET. The winner will sit in fourth place in the Eastern Conference standings by themselves.
