As expected, Las Vegas Aces star A'ja Wilson has been named the 2025 WNBA MVP.
Wilson is the first player in league history to win four MVP awards — and her victory this season means Minnesota's Napheesa Collier has finished runner-up in the MVP vote two years in a row.
It's the third consecutive year Collier has finished top five in the MVP vote, having finished fourth in 2023.
Collier led the Lynx with 22.3 points, 7.3 rebounds, 3.2 assists, 1.6 steals and 1.5 blocks per game. She was second in the league in points, 11th in rebounds, fifth in steals and fifth in blocks per game.
Wilson led the league in points (23.4 per game) and was second in rebounding (10.2), while equaling Collier in steals per game (1.6) and leading the WNBA in blocks per game (2.3).
Collier also became the second player in WNBA history in the 50-40-90 club, meaning she made at least 50% of her shots overall, 40% of her threes, and 90% of her free-throw attempts.
Minnesota tied a WNBA record with 34 wins in the regular season en route to earning the No. 1 overall seed in the playoffs. The Lynx swept Golden State in the first round and now face the Phoenix Mercury in a best-of-five semifinal series beginning Sunday.
Wilson and the Aces won a league record 17 consecutive games. The Aces face the Indiana Fever in the semifinals, setting the stage for a potential WNBA Finals matchup between Collier and Wilson.
