After suffering a setback against the Seattle Storm last Wednesday, the Minnesota Lynx returned to winning ways on Saturday with a 101-78 victory over the Los Angeles Sparks. The Lynx, led by MVP candidate Napheesa Collier, rebounded from their first loss of 2025 with a dominant win that showcased their credentials as a WNBA title contender.
Collier led the way with 32 points in the home win over Los Angeles, but nine players played at least 13 minutes and three others scored at least 10 points. That includes Natisha Hiedeman, who scored 14 points in 25 minutes off the bench.
Now in her seventh WNBA season, and her second with Minnesota, Hiedeman has become an integral part of a close-knit group of players. Hiedeman's 9.1 points per game mark is the joint-best of her career, while her 54.4 percent field goal percentage is far and away a personal best.
And as her importance has grown, so have the jokes.

Hiedeman has dyed her hair again. Gone is the shocking pink hair color she adopted last week with teammate Courtney Williams; Hiedeman's new hair color is a shade of blonde reminiscent of the rapper Eminem's look in the late1990s and the early 2000s.
The similarity was not lost on Collier, who asked on Instagram Stories "will the real Slim Shady pls stand up," in reference to Eminem's best-known persona.
Collier's reaction is a glimpse into the dynamic of the Lynx locker room: a group of players that are having a lot of fun doing a lot of winning.
Since the start of last season, Minnesota has won 40 of its past 51 games, and the Lynx are already in great position to return to the WNBA Finals this fall after coming up just short against the New York Liberty in 2024.
