Chicago Sky forward Angel Reese is putting together another strong campaign during the 2025 WNBA season. The former No. 7 overall pick is averaging 10.0 points and a league-leading 12.3 rebounds through six games, leading her team to a 2-4 record.
Last season, Reese enjoyed a historic rookie year as she made both the 2024 WNBA All-Star team as well as the All-Rookie team. She contributed 13.6 points and 13.1 rebounds per night for the 13-27 Sky, the latter of which was a WNBA record.
As a result of her success, Reese signed with several major brands during the offseason like Amazon, McDonald's and Reebok.
Legendary NBA guard Allen Iverson first popularized Reebok in the basketball space when he signed a lifetime deal with the company in 2001. He went on to play 10 more professional seasons with Reebok as his sponsor, and he made the Pro Basketball Hall of Fame in 2016.
On Wednesday, Iverson did an exclusive interview with People.com and he was asked about Sky forward and fellow Reebok signee Angel Reese. The 11-time NBA All-Star made his opinion on Reese extremely clear during the discussion.
"I love everything about her," Iverson said. "I love what she stands for. She reminds me of my little sister. She's dope to me. She reminds me of myself, hoop-wise and on a personal level too."
Iverson won the NBA MVP award during the 2000-01 season and made seven All-NBA teams. He also led the league in scoring on four occasions and was the NBA steal leader three times during his 14-year career.
Reese has a long way to go if she wants to match Iverson's success at the professional level, but she is already on the right track.
She earned the Defensive Player of the Year award and won the inaugural Unrivaled Championship this offseason, and already has a WNBA All-Star and All-Rookie nod under her belt.
Her signature sneaker with Reebok is also set to release sometime in 2026.
