Caitlin Clark led the charge for the Indiana Fever on Saturday night in their preseason finale. The reigning WNBA Rookie of the Year finished with 13 points on 5-of-11 shooting, to go along with six rebounds, seven assists and three triples in 23 minutes of action to lead Indiana to an 81-76 win over the Atlanta Dream.
It was far from a spectacular performance from the All-Star guard, but it was enough to lead the Fever to their third straight win in the preseason.
After her busy night on the court, Clark still made sure to take time to greet her fans. Tens of thousands of supporters flocked Gateway Center Arena in College Park, Georgia, to see her in action, and Clark made it a point that to show them their appreciation after the game.
A photo of Clark, taken by Dale Zanine for Imagn Images, has surfaced after the game. In it, the 23-year-old star is seen signing autographs before making her way to the tunnel after the win.
Clark is one of the most sought-after athletes in the world today, and she has her loyal fans following virtually every move. For her part, the Fever superstar consistently makes the time to meet with her fans, which was the case yet again on Saturday night after their win over the Dream.
This speaks volumes of Clark's attitude and her appreciation for her fans, who she knows full well have played a pivotal role in her meteoric rise to the top.
Clark and Co. kick off their campaign with a highly anticipated matchup against Angel Reese and the Chicago Sky on May 17. There is no doubt that the fans will come out to witness what should be a real spectacle of a basketball game.
