On Friday, the Dallas Wings had a close 86-83 win over the Connecticut Sun. Wings rookie guard Paige Bueckers carried her team and was the only player who scored at least 20 points. Bueckers finished with 21 points, seven assists and two steals.
Bueckers is familiar with playing in front of the Connecticut crowd. She spent five years at UConn and led the university to an NCAA title in her senior year.
It's her second time facing the Sun since getting selected with the No. 1 pick by Dallas. In her first game against Connecticut, Bueckers had 21 points, five rebounds, seven assists and two steals to lead the Wings to a 109-87 victory.
Tonight, her stats looked very similar to how she first played against the Sun.
Following the game, the Wings' social media team posted the team's win. However, it had a slight jab at the Sun for losing five straight games.
"Honey bun, we're on a run, no fun for the Sun " the Wings posted.
