Paige Bueckers recently began her rookie season with the Dallas Wings.
After an incredible four-year career with the UConn Huskies at the collegiate level, Bueckers was drafted with the No. 1 overall pick in April's WNBA draft.
Last season the Wings finished with a 9-31 record, so Bueckers has her hands full, attempting to help build something special in Dallas.
While Bueckers works her way up the WNBA player ladder, the Wings received an important update on the future of the organization.
According to Myah Taylor of the Dallas Morning News, the team's planned move to Memorial Auditorium in 2026 is expected to be delayed.
"City officials and the Wings had an agreement for the WNBA team to move to the auditorium by 2026, but the project’s construction is estimated to extend into at least the second quarter of 2027," Taylor said.

Taylor explained that the Dallas City Council will vote on June 11 to adjust the terms of its contract with the Dallas Wings, having agreed to a move in 2026 under a 15-year, $19 million agreement.
The move is part of a redevelopment of the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center in Dallas. The Wings currently play their games at UT-Arlington’s College Park Center.
While it seems the Wings will still have a chance to potentially make the move in 2027, it's a disappointing blow for a franchise that has experienced a newfound wave of popularity with the addition of Paige Bueckers.
Paige Bueckers has played three games so far this season for the Dallas Wings and has posted 13.7 points, 4.7 rebounds and 6.7 assists per game.
The Wings have yet to earn a victory with Bueckers. Their next opportunity is Saturday at 3 p.m. ET against the Atlanta Dream.
