Before the Dallas Wings faced the Connecticut Sun on Tuesday night, a lot of fans at Mohegan Sun Arena wanted guard Paige Bueckers' autograph. The autograph seekers may or may not have included former WNBA MVP Tina Charles.
As Charles walked past Bueckers signing autographs before the game, she hugged Bueckers from behind and said, "Can I get your autograph?" multiple times in a joking tone.
The WNBA posted a video of the interaction to the league's official X account.
"Past, present, new, old .. it doesn't matter @UConnWBB always stick together," the account wrote as a caption to the video.
"Ya gotta love it, Tina Charles wants in on Paige Bueckers autograph session in Connecticut."
Charles won two national championships at UConn from 2007-10. In the WNBA, she became an 8-time All-Star and won the 2012 league MVP.
Bueckers just entered the WNBA as the No. 1 overall pick for Dallas in the 2025 Draft. She led UConn to a national championship this past spring.

Tuesday will be the first time Bueckers will play in Connecticut during her WNBA career.
Bueckers experienced a lot of winning in college, but as expected, things have been difficult for the Wings to begin her rookie career.
The Wings are 0-4 to begin this season, but Tuesday, they will face the Sun, who are also winless in four games.
Bueckers has averaged 13 points, 6.3 assists and 4.3 rebounds in her first four WNBA games. She has shot 34% overall, including 33.3% from the 3-point line.
