Dallas Wings Point Guard Paige Bueckers became the fastest player in WNBA history to reach 500+ points and 150+ assists, according to Real Sports.
Real Sports’ post on X, formerly Twitter, came with an image of her previous stat lines. She had 35 points and 6 rebounds on June 11; 27 points, 6 assists, and 2 steals on June 27; 21 points, 5 rebounds, and 7 assists on May 27; 15 points, 5 rebounds, and 8 assists on May 29; 20 points, 9 rebounds, and 7 assists on June 22; 23 points, 4 rebounds, and 5 assists on July 3; and 21 points, 2 rebounds, and 7 assists on June 20.
The Wings’ rookie finished Sunday’s game with 18 points, 5 rebounds, and 4 assists, along with a -17 rating. The most recent stat line wasn’t one of the greatest, but it was likely good enough for the Wings.
Bueckers’ stats show that she is a star in the making. She has averaged 18.8 points, 4.1 rebounds, 5.4 assists, and 1.7 steals in the 2025 WNBA season with the Dallas Wings. These stats also show that she has a positive attitude and is always willing to improve her game. In addition, she possesses two of the top traits of a star point guard: a solid leadership style and stellar on-court play.
Bueckers likely won’t play in a WNBA playoff game anytime soon, as the Dallas Wings are just 9-26 at the time of writing. The Wings are in a rebuild that is expected to continue, but the Wings’ No. 1 selection of Bueckers of the 2025 WNBA Draft out of UConn is a step in the right direction.
Bueckers can help the Wings play spoiler in the WNBA playoff race, thanks to her leadership, teamwork, positive attitude, courage, and compassion. The Wings will take on the Los Angeles Sparks in Crypto.com Arena on Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. Pacific.
