Paige Bueckers reveals she is dating former UConn teammate

It has been a poorly kept secret for quite some time that Paige Bueckers is in a relationship with one of her former teammates, but the Dallas Wings star has now officially confirmed it.

During an event on Thursday in advance of the WNBA’s All-Star weekend, Bueckers was asked by WAG Talk to play a game called “how well do you know your D1 girlfriend?” The No. 1 overall pick agreed, and it quickly became clear that she and UConn basketball star Azzi Fudd are dating.

Bueckers answered all of the questions fairly easily, which suggests she and Fudd have been together for quite a while.

Fudd has chosen to play one more year at UConn in 2025-26. She had a good chance to be a first-round pick in the WNBA Draft had she turned pro, but she is opting to spend a fifth season with the Huskies instead.

While Bueckers was the best player in the country last year, Fudd also played a key role on Geno Auriemma’s 12th national championship team. Fudd averaged 13.6 points per game during the regular season and elevated her game in the NCAA Tournament. She averaged 17.5 points per game in the tournament and scored a team-high 24 in UConn’s national championship game win over South Carolina.

Fudd and Bueckers could potentially end up on the same team again next year.
