After a blockbuster offseason acquiring two All-Stars, the Phoenix Mercury retooled to make a serious push next season. Phoenix was swept in the first round by the Minnesota Lynx, and a lot of uncertainty surrounded this team, with Brittney Griner and Diana Taurasi not expected to be there next season. However, Mercury’s general manager Nick U’Ren buckled up, trading for six-time All-Star Alyssa Thomas and two-time All-Star Satou Sabally.
Phoenix has paired its star Kahleah Copper with two talented playmakers heading into next season. With the season a few months away, the Mercury announced today its 2025 preseason schedule. It’s a two-game slate starting on May 6th in Las Vegas, taking on the Aces, and the 11th hosting the new Golden State Valkyries.
The Mercury’s last preseason game is less than a week from its season opener against the Seattle Storm at the Footprint Center on May 17th.
