Although Copper contributed earlier in the season, she has been sidelined since Feb. 7 due to a right leg injury, joining teammate Angel Reese on the sidelines to cheer on the Rosebuds during the title game.
The Unrivaled Basketball League tipped off its inaugural season in January. Founded by WNBA stars Napheesa Collier and Breanna Stewart, the three-on-three league was created to provide WNBA players an opportunity to compete domestically during the offseason.
With a successful first season in the books, Unrivaled has quickly established itself as a promising new platform for women’s basketball.
