PHOENIX — The Phoenix Mercury has announced its 2025 roster with new and old faces joining the core.

The finalized roster comes after a three-week-long training camp and two days before the start of the WNBA season. Some of the new additions include Alexa Held, Alexis Prince, Monique Akoa-Makani and Kathryn Westbeld.

Celeste Taylor, who was with the team last year, didn’t make the roster. When asked why Taylor wouldn’t be back, head coach Nate Tibbetts said the camp was very competitive but knows she’ll find a team.

“I really believe [Taylor] is a [WNBA] player,” he said. “She’s going to find a home. She’s about the right stuff. She’s super smart.”

The Phoenix Mercury is set to start its season at home against the Seattle Storm this Saturday, May 17 at 7 p.m.
