Raven Johnson is heading to the Indiana Fever. This is after the Fever used their 10th overall pick in the 2026 WNBA Draft to select the South Carolina Gamecocks star.
Johnson joins the Fever after a five-year stint in Columbia. Her best season came during her senior year as she helped lead the Gamecocks to the national championship game. Johnson played 40 games during the 2025-26 season, averaging 9.9 points on 48.6% shooting, 4.0 rebounds, 5.1 assists and 1.5 steals in 28.7 minutes per contest. She also knocked down 1.0 triples per game on a 39.8% clip.
Johnson won two titles with South Carolina in 2022 and in 2024. She is the reigning SEC Defensive Player of the Year, an AP All-American and a two-time All-SEC team member, to name a few of her accolades.
The Fever kept a close watch on Johnson throughout the draft. According to general manager Amber Cox, the South Carolina alum was at the top of their board. This is exactly why the Fever did not hesitate to call her name when Johnson was still available at 10th.
Johnson is also hyped to be joining Indiana. The newly acquired Fever guard took to social media hours after the draft to express her excitement.
“What’s up Indy!!!!!! Let’s WIN, WIN, WIN!!! It’s go time……” Johnson wrote in her first post since being drafted.

Not everyone is as excited as Johnson, though. More than a few Fever fans are not happy with the team’s decision to use the 10th pick on her, and these supporters have made their feelings known.
Johnson has just joined the Fever, and she’s already getting a taste of what this passionate fanbase has to offer.
