Indiana Fever star point guard Caitlin Clark made her return to the basketball court on June 14 against the New York Liberty after missing five games due to a left quad injury.

Clark went off for 32 points, eight rebounds and nine assists against the Liberty while shooting 11-of-20 from the field, 7-of-14 from beyond the arc and 3-of-5 from the free-throw line.

The Fever handed the Liberty their first loss of the season behind Clark, who set social media on fire after hitting three 3-pointers in a row in the first quarter.

Unfortunately for one basketball reporter, she no longer has a job after sharing one of Clark's 3-pointers.

According to Ryan Glasspiegel of Front Office Sports, the Big3 has fired Rachel DeMita after DeMita posted a Clark video on X while working a Big3 game.

"The 'final straw' that led to the parting was when DeMita tweeted about Caitlin Clark highlights this past Saturday during a game which she was working as a courtside correspondent for Big3, sources told Front Office Sports," Glasspiegel wrote.

"A Big3 spokesperson declined to comment, saying that the league does not comment on personnel matters. DeMita’s agent could not immediately be reached for comment."

DeMita is a former host of NBA 2KTV. She has over 278,000 followers on X, 452,000 followers on TikTok, one million followers on Instagram and 362,000 YouTube subscribers.

DeMita is engaged to former Oklahoma City Thunder forward Andre Roberson.

Clark has played in seven games this season for the Fever, who are 6-6 on the season. The 2024 Rookie of the Year is averaging 19.9 points, 5.7 rebounds and 8.7 assists.
