Six-year WNBA veteran Sophie Cunningham is one of the most popular players in the league. Her intensity on the court is matched by her outgoing personality when she’s not on the hardwood.
Cunningham made a lot of noise in recent days, especially with her behind-the-scenes footage from the SI Swimsuit photo shoot. She shared the spotlight with fellow WNBA star Napheesa Collier and USA Track and Field sprinter Melissa Jefferson-Wooden.
Additionally, she landed a new job as a WNBA analyst with USA Network for the 2026 season. Cunningham doesn’t have a team yet, but she won’t miss suitors or work ahead of the new campaign.
As one of the most popular WNBA players, Cunningham has met plenty of people during her career. Talking with GQ Sports, she talked about her “wildest fan interaction.” The guard called out “creepy old men” while answering.
“You’re asking the right person,” Cunningham said. “I get a lot of old creepy men so that would be the extreme no so good experiences.”
On the other hand, she has experienced a lot of love from the younger generations.
“The great experiences are all the little boys and girls who are just so excited and new to the WNBA and want to be like us,” Cunningham said. “Inspiring them is probably like the most fulfilling thing you can do.”
