The Indiana Fever closed out their longest homestand of the season on Sunday afternoon, hosting the Dallas Wings at Gainbridge Fieldhouse.
After splitting their first four games in July (including a thrilling 99-82 win over the Atlanta Dream on Friday), Indiana entered Sunday’s matchup with a 10-10 record and the WNBA's fifth‐best scoring offense (83.7 points per game).
The Fever are riding a wave of momentum built on a balanced attack: All‑Star guard Caitlin Clark is averaging 16.9 points and a team-best 8.6 assists per game, while Kelsey Mitchell pours in 19.2 points per night, leading all Fever scorers.
Center Aliyah Boston anchors the paint with 16.2 points and 8.9 rebounds per contest, and a deep bench has been critical to Indiana’s recent success.
Midway through the second quarter on Sunday, veteran guard Sophie Cunningham quietly etched her name into Fever lore by scoring the 1,500th point of her WNBA career, doing so in her 198th game.
Afterward, Indiana celebrated the moment with a simple message on X, "congrats to Sophie Cunningham on reaching 1,500 career points ❤️."

Selected 13th overall by the Phoenix Mercury in the 2019 WNBA Draft, Cunningham spent her first six seasons developing into a reliable two‑way guard, averaging 7.7 points, 2.7 rebounds and 1.4 assists in 22.8 minutes per game over her Mercury tenure.
On Jan. 31, Cunningham was part of a four‑team blockbuster trade that brought her to the Fever alongside veteran scorer Natasha Howard.
She recently helped the Fever capture their first in-season tournament title in the 2025 Commissioner’s Cup with a 74-59 win over the Minnesota Lynx, filling up the stat sheet with 13 points and seven rebounds off the bench.
Through 15 games this season, Cunningham is averaging 5.8 points, 4.1 rebounds and 0.9 steals in 22.7 minutes per game, providing stable veteran leadership on a young roster.
