Sophie Cunningham Makes Career Move After One Season with Indiana Fever

Sophie Cunningham watched as Stephanie White and the Indiana Fever pulled off one of the more surprising runs of the 2025 WNBA Playoffs. The No. 6 seed Fever advanced from the first round with a 2–1 win over the No. 3 seed Atlanta Dream, then pushed the No. 2 seed Las Vegas Aces to five games in the semifinals. And they did it all without Cunningham and Caitlin Clark.

Toward the end of the regular season, Cunningham suffered a torn MCL in her right knee against the Connecticut Sun, ending her season. But the former Phoenix Mercury guard was able to find success in her first year in Indiana, averaging 8.6 points, 3.5 rebounds and 1.2 assists in 30 games played.

In her first season with the Fever, Cunningham also continued to build her brand off the court, partnering with major companies such as Adidas and Arby’s. And on Thursday, she took another step in her off-court career by teaming up with Placed to launch with Placed by Sophie.

"Introducing Placed by Sophie!" Placed wrote on Instagram. "Step into her new immersive link-in-bio to explore some of her favorite clothing items, basketball gear, cosmetics & more. Door’s open now, tap our bio link to enter!"

The interactive online shop, designed to look like a locker room, includes numerous pieces of Cunningham’s favorite clothing, some of which she even wore before WNBA games. Items featured in the shop include:

  • Cunningham's No. 8 Fever jersey
  • Hot Girls Eat Arby's T-shirt
  • Damian Lillard x Adidas shoes
  • Cowboy hat and boots

While Cunningham continues to build her brand, the Fever may face significant changes heading into the 2026 WNBA season. Indiana has only three players under contract for next year, and key contributors, including Cunningham, are set to become free agents.
