The Indiana Pacers have an immense opportunity to take control of the NBA Finals during Game 3 at Gainbridge Fieldhouse on Wednesday. As of this writing, they lead 64-60 at halftime with the series tied at one win apiece.

All of the Hoosier State is enthralled by this championship series and the chance of the Larry O'Brien Trophy heading there for the first time ever. The Pacers had won three titles in the old American Basketball Association (ABA), a rival league of the NBA, in the early 1970s, but they have never won a true world championship since joining the NBA.

Several members of the WNBA's Indiana Fever are on hand for Game 3. Caitlin Clark, Aliyah Boston and Natasha Howard were seen sitting courtside, and contributors Lexie Hull, Sophie Cunningham, Aari McDonald and Makayla Timpson were also present for the contest.

Cunningham is currently sidelined by an ankle injury. The veteran, currently in her seventh year, was acquired in a huge trade four months ago from the Phoenix Mercury.

Hull's ability to fill up the hoop from long distance has made her a key complementary player for the Fever. In nine games so far this season, she's averaging 9.3 points a game and making an astounding 52.2% of her 3-point attempts.

McDonald recently joined the Fever through a hardship contract after Cunningham, Clark and guard Sydney Colson got injured. While the former No. 3 overall draft pick has struggled thus far in the WNBA, she has scored in double figures in two of her three games with the Fever.

Timpson, a rookie out of Florida State, has barely played, but it is thought she has plenty of potential moving forward to beef up the team's frontcourt.

The team currently has a 4-5 record heading into Saturday's showdown versus Sabrina Ionescu and the defending champion New York Liberty.
