Sophie Cunningham's Immediate Reaction to Indiana Fever's Win Against Aces

Indiana Fever fan-favorite Sophie Cunningham couldn't be any happier after the team beat the Las Vegas Aces in Game 1 of their WNBA playoff series.

Cunningham is out for the postseason due to the season-ending knee injury she sustained during the regular season. The 29-year-old guard tore her right MCL and had to undergo surgery to address the issue.

That said, she could only sit on the sidelines and cheer for her Indiana teammates as they continue their postseason run.

On Sunday, Kelsey Mitchell powered the Fever to an 89-73 win over the Aces, dropping 34 points on 12-of-23 shooting. Odyssey Sims added 17 points, while Natasha Howard chipped in 12.

No one from the Aces scored more than 20 points, with 2025 WNBA MVP A'ja Wilson limited to just 16 points on 6-of-22 shooting.

Right after the game, Cunningham expressed her delight. As the Fever headed to the locker room, she joined the rest of the team in celebrating the win.

"Woo, that's big time," Cunningham exclaimed. "That's big time right there."

Cunningham followed up her live reaction with a message on Instagram Stories. As she shared the Fever's post about their win, she wrote: "dubs in the chat."

The Fever play the Aces again in Game 2 at Michelob ULTRA Arena on Tuesday before the series shifts to Indiana. Sure enough, fans can expect Cunningham to support her teammates and, well, sometimes even coach them.
