'Stop Talking' - Colin Cowherd Calls Out Caitlin Clark's Rival

Fox Sports personality Colin Cowherd has made it abundantly clear over the past few months that he'll stand by Caitlin Clark as much as possible.

Earlier this month, Cowherd ripped WNBA players for ranking Clark ninth among All-Star guards. He thought it was an incredibly petty move on their part considering the Iowa legend is the face of women's basketball.

"There's obviously a racial component here. The WNBA players just don't like what the wave looks like. They wanted to fly private. They wanted to be more popular. They wanted a better deal in the CBA, which they'll get. They wanted sold-out arenas. They got it. They just don't necessarily think it should be this," Cowherd said. "But again, you can't fight it. You just never know what success looks like."

Judging by this past weekend's All-Star Game, some players didn't listen to Cowherd's advice.

During this past Saturday's warmups, every WNBA All-Star wore a shirt that said "Pay us what you owe us." That was in reference to the league's ongoing CBA negotiations.

WNBA star Kelsey Plum talked about the controversial shirts during her postgame press conference. For some reason, she felt the need to throw Clark under the bus.

"It was a very powerful moment. As players, we didn’t know that that was going to happen. It was a genuine surprise," Plum said. "The T-shirt was determined this morning. Not to tattletale, but zero members of Team Clark were very present for that."

On this Monday's episode of "The Herd," Cowherd called out Plum. He said she needs to stop talking about the WNBA's biggest star.

"The T-shirts don't bother me, but why do you take a shot at Caitlin Clark? Before she arrived, you guys were flying on one of those airlines that made you pay for a cup of water. Now, you're flying private," Cowherd said. "You went from a Motel 6 in a sketchy part of town to a Four Seasons in the shopping district. Stop talking."

Plum has been getting crushed on social media over the past 24 hours for her unnecessary shot at Clark.

Clark, however, hasn't said anything about Plum's questionable behavior.

It'll be interesting to see how Clark and Plum interact when the Indiana Fever take on the Los Angeles Sparks on Aug. 5.
