There’s no secret that since her college days at Iowa, Caitlin Clark has become more than just one of the most popular figures in women’s basketball — she’s one of the biggest names in all of sports.

Following a stellar rookie season in 2024 with the Indiana Fever, Clark has had a busy offseason filled with major appearances. She’s returned noticeably stronger and more physical, and she’s now gearing up for her second WNBA season, which tips off Saturday afternoon when the Fever host Angel Reese and the Chicago Sky at 3 p.m. ET at Gainbridge Fieldhouse.

Ahead of the highly anticipated matchup, some surprising news caught the attention of the basketball world: Clark is dominating the sports trading card market. This offseason, she ranked No. 1 in the number of WNBA trading cards graded — and it’s not even close.

According to PSA, one of the leading card grading companies, Clark has had over 105,000 cards graded. In comparison, the second-highest total belongs to Angel Reese, with just 7,200. In fact, Clark’s total surpasses the entire rest of the top five combined by a wide margin.

On eBay, Caitlin Clark was the third most searched athlete in April, trailing only Michael Jordan and Jayden Daniels. Her impact on the sports card market has been nothing short of historic for women’s basketball.

Sports cards have always seen a fluctuating yet booming market, but it's traditionally centered around men’s sports—particularly the NFL, MLB, and NBA. However, Clark is shifting that narrative at a rapid pace, and her influence is only expected to grow.

In March 2025, one of Clark’s rookie cards sold for a staggering $366,000, setting a record for the most expensive women’s sports card ever sold. The one-of-a-kind autographed rookie was auctioned by Goldin Auctions. The previous record was held by tennis icon Serena Williams, whose card sold for $266,400 in 2022.

Clark now has multiple cards listed on eBay and other trading platforms, many of which are priced in the hundreds to thousands of dollars. Notably, a one-of-one autographed 2024 Panini rookie card is currently on the market for $350,000.
