Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark got a new defender in the persona of NBA legend Michael Jordan’s agent, in light of the recent fouling incident she got herself involved in.

In a recent interview on The Kevin Sheehan Show , David Falk, Michael Jordan’s agent, got honest about his criticisms towards WNBA Commissioner Cathy Englebert, particularly with how the league had failed to “defend” its most profitable star, Caitlin Clark.

“If she got fouled by the girl in the Chicago team in a dead ball deal, I’d suspend that girl for five games because I don’t want to take my cash cow, Caitlin Clark, and have her sidelined for a month because some girl is jealous that she’s making so much money,” Falk said on the show.

“I think that was really, really poorly handled,” he added.

Falk then added a comparison of the incident to a potential foul of the same level in the NBA. He pointed out how he believes a flagrant 1 foul against pillar stars like Michael Jordan, LeBron James, or Steph Curry would not go unnoticed.

“And I think the commissioner was asleep at the switch on her.”

In a heated matchup against the Chicago Sky, Caitlin Clark was blindsided and shoved by Sky guard Chennedy Carter. The incident happened during an inbounds play, and has sparked mixed reactions from fans and analysts alike.

The incident was initially ruled as an ordinary foul, but later on upgraded to a flagrant 1 foul after review. Video footage showed Carter shoulder-checking Clark from behind, which resulted in Clark getting knocked down.

Caitlin Clark Gets Honest About Why She Drafted Washington Mystics Rookie

In her statement, Clark admitted to being a fan of Citron, going back to her college days at Notre Dame

“I’m gonna take [Sonia] Citron,” Clark admitted. “Big fan of her game [and] been a big fan of her since she’s been in college. And I’ve been telling everybody I thought she would be a tremendous player when she got into the league, and she hasn’t let me down so, I appreciate that.”

Caitlin Clark, so far, is averaging 18.2 points per game, leads the league with 8.9 assists per game, and grabs 5 rebounds per game.
