The Las Vegas Aces ended the regular season riding a 16-game win streak into the postseason, and that momentum never wavered—led by 2025 WNBA MVP A’ja Wilson.
On Friday, the Aces, who held a commanding 3-0 series lead over the Phoenix Mercury in the WNBA Finals, closed out the series with a clean sweep to capture their third championship in four seasons.
It's also no surprise who took home Finals MVP, as the Mercury had no answer all series for Wilson, who recorded 31 points, nine rebounds, four assists, two steals, and three blocks in the team’s 97-86 win.

On Saturday morning, the Aces received a personal message from one of the team’s minority owners and NFL legend, Tom Brady.
"ANOTHER ONE! Congrats to the @LVAces on another ring! What a way to cap an all-time season…this squad was special," Brady wrote on Instagram. "The depth, the fight, and the way you always have each other’s backs. You play the game the right way, with heart and unity, and it’s inspiring to watch. This team has continued to establish the ACES dynasty in one of the greatest sports leagues in the world, and I’m so proud to watch it all unfold."
Brady, who also holds a minority ownership stake in the Las Vegas Raiders, followed up a general statement about the team with personal messages directed specifically to Becky Hammon and A’ja Wilson.
“[Becky Hammon], your leadership and competitive fire set the tone for everything this team represents,” Brady said to the Aces’ head coach. “You’ve built a culture that’s all about trust, accountability, and belief, and it shows every night.”
He added, “And to [A’ja Wilson]… wow. You’ve cemented yourself as one of the all-time greats. The way you lead, elevate your teammates, and perform when it matters most is incredible.”
During the first half of the season, it didn’t appear that the Aces would even be in contention for the title come October, as they hovered around the .500 mark.
However, a spark emerged down the stretch. While the team leaned on Wilson, they also received significant contributions from several key players, including Chelsea Gray, Jackie Young, Jewell Loyd, NaLyssa Smith, and Dana Evans.
