Chicago Sky forward Angel Reese had an impressive first game for Team USA on Wednesday. She started in her debut for the senior national team and finished with six points and a game-high eight rebounds.

Team USA dominated Senegal en route to a 110-46 victory. Reese had plenty of highlight plays, including an ankle-breaking move in the second quarter.

Despite her performance, Reese didn't get a starting spot against Puerto Rico on Thursday as head coach Kara Lawson continued experimenting with various lineup combinations.

Reese still played well. She tallied a double-double of 10 points and 13 rebounds to help Team USA beat the host nation 91-48.

There was one lowlight moment for Reese during the game, however. Midway through the second quarter after she received a pass from Monique Billings on her way to the basket, Reese was blocked by Puerto Rico star Imani McGee-Stafford.

"IMANI TUFF BLOCK ON ANGEL. IT RUNS IN THE MCGEE FAM," House of Highlights wrote in the caption while sharing a video of the play.

The post quickly turned heads, with many pointing out how it was made to hate on Reese.

"A regular block? I see the hate," a commenter wrote. Another one said, "This is what y'all post. Bunch of haters."

"The hatred for women’s basketball is ridiculous dude smh," a poster added.

Some also showed their support for Reese and reminded everyone of her performance.

"Angel is the ONLY player on BOTH teams that finished the game with a Double Double and 5 assists on the night. Spent the game cleaning up others MISSED shots but this is what y'all post? SO [expletive] corny and lame at this point," a supporter highlighted.

"People love to try and hate on Angel. But she will keep winning," a fan emphasized.

Others, however, were still critical of Reese and took notice of a flaw in her game. One critic wrote, "Angel's low release drives me insane. She’s really good, but she can be great if she uses her size for scoring."

A follower noted, "Can’t believe her lay up game has STILL not improved."

"Her uncoordinated layups need to be studied," a social media user stated.

Despite the criticism, Reese was certainly a major contributor in Team USA's win. She had a plus-minus rating of +17 in the contest and her efficiency (20) was just behind eventual Player of the Game Paige Bueckers (22).

One lowlight doesn't change the fact that Reese helped Team USA dominate once again.
