In the midst of preparing for the 2025 WNBA Finals, A’ja Wilson and Chelsea Gray took questions from the media on Thursday, October 2, just the day before hitting the court against a familiar foe in the Phoenix Mercury.

Wilson responded to the fallout that occurred after her comments in support of Napheesa Collier following the Aces game 5 win over Indiana to punch their ticket to the WNBA Finals.

Wilson’s comments have become a large part of the rallying cry of players in the WNBA. At the conclusion of the season, the WNBA will go into CBA negotiations. The issues on the table include salary equality, working conditions, and maternity leave and care.

With this recent dust up right before the biggest series of the season, more people seem to take the side of the players as they battle for the things they want and need to continue to bring basketball and joy to the rest of the world.
