Watch: DeWanna Bonner stops Angel Reese’s celebration

DeWanna Bonner had a vet moment right after the Atlanta Dream completed their 2-0 sweep of the Washington Mystics in the first round of the 2026 WNBA Playoffs.

Following the Dream’s 93-75 win over Washington on Wednesday at CareFirst Arena in Washington, D.C., Atlanta forward Angel Reese and guard Allisha Gray seemingly couldn’t help but troll the Mystics and their fans by waving goodbye to them.

However, Bonner quickly grabbed Reese’s and Gray’s hands, like a sister keeping her younger siblings from misbehaving.

Here is the video of that moment.

Reese and the Dream were barely threatened by Washington in the series. The Mystics held an 11-point lead in the first half of Game 1 on Sunday, but Atlanta still came away with a 92-77 win. The 39-year-old Bonner, who signed with the Dream in August after a contract buyout with the Phoenix Mercury, had 11 of her 13 points in that game during Atlanta’s blistering 18-5 run in the second half.

In Game 2, Washington never held the lead, while the Dream led by as many as 19 points.

Through two playoff games, Reese has averaged 14.0 points and 9.5 rebounds.

Atlanta next moves to a best-of-five semifinal series against the New York Liberty.
