Caitlin Clark has been one of the biggest names in the WNBA over the past two seasons.
Clark joined the Indiana Fever as a star, having established her name at the collegiate level. She has since grown her fandom in the professional landscape.
While she's early into her WNBA career, Clark is widely considered one of the best players in the league. She was recently honored as a WNBA All-Star Game captain along with Minnesota Lynx star Napheesa Collier.
Clark and Collier selected their rosters in a televised draft, choosing some of the top players in the WNBA.
During the draft, Clark traded head coaches. She acquired New York Liberty head coach Sandy Brondello, who was once assigned to Team Collier.
As the WNBA All-Star weekend festivities began, Brondello spoke with the media, where she discussed the trade by Caitlin Clark.
"Thank you, caitlin," Brondello said. "I appreciate that — never been part of a trade, I hope not — I’m excited, it would have been nice, obviously, to coach caitlin, but I’m still gonna lean into her coaching ability as well and enjoy the whole experience."

Sandy Brondello is leading the defending WNBA champions, the New York Liberty. Heading into the WNBA All-Star break, the Liberty sit at No. 1 in the Eastern Conference and No. 2 in the WNBA standings with a 15-6 record.
New York is led by two of the league's biggest stars: Breanna Stewart and Sabrina Ionescu.
Brondello was traded for Minnesota Lynx head coach Cheryl Reeve, who has led her team to the No. 1 seed in the WNBA standings with a 20-4 record.
Caitlin Clark will not be participating in the All-Star Game, despite previously being announced as a captain for the prestigious event.
The Indiana Fever star is dealing with a groin injury that has kept her out several games this season.
