The Indiana Fever will be well represented at the WNBA All-Star game.

While Caitlin Clark entered the break as the headliner for the event, where she chose her All-Star team as the captain of her respective bunch, she has been ruled out of the game.

Luckily for Clark, she has backup. When drafting her team, Clark acquired the services of Fever stars Aliyah Boston and Kelsey Mitchell.

Boston was already drafted as a starter for Clark's squad, and with the absence of the Fever guard, Mitchell will also be in the starting lineup for Team Caitlin Clark at the WNBA All-Star game.

"Kelsey Mitchell has been named a starter for Team Clark in tonight's All-Star Game," posted the Indiana Fever.

Team Caitlin Clark coach Sandy Brondello, the head coach of the New York Liberty, made the decision to start Mitchell given the injuries on the roster.

Clark has recently missed time with the Indiana Fever due to a groin injury. She's missed a total of 11 games this season, having dealt with numerous setbacks.

Missing the All-Star game may be a precaution for Fever head coach Stephanie White and Clark herself, so the Indiana star is prepared to make a deep run in the second half of the season.

Mitchell is in her eighth season with the Fever and her first playing for White. The veteran guard has averaged 19.1 points, 1.8 rebounds and 2.7 assists per game.
