WNBA All-Star Game voting has begun, fans can decide who deserves to play in highly-anticipated event
Nicole Mullen / USA TODAY NETWORK

To let the fans have their say on who gets to play in the 2024 AT&T WNBA All-Star Game, they can vote for their favorite players from around the league and send them to Phoenix for the action-packed spectacle.

Voting has begun and will conclude on Saturday, June 29 at 8:59 p.m. PT, allowing enough time for WNBA fans to cast their choices before the game on July 20 at 5:30 p.m. PT. The soldout game will be hosted at Footprint Center, home of the Phoenix Mercury.

Year in and year out, the WNBA’s best of the best will showcase their skills in the All-Star Game in front of thousands of fans and even some famous celebrities/athletes.

Shaking up how the format works, this year’s All-Star Game presents the matchup between the USA Basketball Women’s National Team All-Stars and the WNBA All-Stars who are voted in through fans, players, media and coaches voting. For the selection of players, it will be divided up between the fans (50%), active WNBA players (25%) and a panel of media (25%).

From now until the June 29 deadline, fans can submit one ballot through WNBA.com and the WNBA App each day. Fans can also vote for up to a maximum of 10 players (four backcourt, six frontcourt) a day. The Conferences (West and East) in which each player plays don’t matter.

To try to give the fans the most opportunities to vote possible, there will be three “2-for-1 Days” on WNBA.com and the WNBA App which gives fans a chance for their votes to count twice on June 16, June 22 and June 27. These special days run from 9 p.m. P.T. (the night before) to 8:59 p.m. PT.

After the initial voting period wraps up from the three voting groups, the top 10 players chosen will secure their spots in the WNBA All-Star Game. Anyone who makes the top 10 but was not named on the USA Women’s National Team Olympic roster will automatically be placed on Team WNBA.

The 12 WNBA head coaches will then vote for the remaining spots on the 12-player Team WNBA roster. The coaches will have to contemplate who they believe should make it out of the next 36 highest vote-getters (at least 9 backcourt and 15 frontcourt players). Coaches will not be allowed to cast votes on players from their own WNBA team.

The finalized WNBA All-Star Game rosters will be announced on Tuesday, July 2, and ABC will broadcast the game on July 20.
