Caitlin Clark’s performance on Friday created a lot of buzz. The Indiana Fever star scored a game-high 32 points against the Washington Mystics, including a clutch three-pointer that sent the game to overtime.
She ran to the weak side and received the ball off a screen. Clark shot it over a defender, hitting nothing but net, to the delight of the home crowd at Gainbridge Fieldhouse. Sonia Citron almost won the game for Washington with a half-court shot in the ensuing play, but she failed to beat the buzzer.
Clark also converted seven triples on the night. However, it wasn’t enough for Indiana to win as the Mystics secured a 104-102 victory. Kelsey Mitchell contributed 24 points, while Monique Billings flirted with a double-double, scoring 10 points and grabbing nine rebounds.
The stat sheet showed that Clark dished out eight assists. The WNBA corrected it and credited her with two more dimes to officially record a double-double.
Clark became the first player in league history to have multiple games with 30-plus points and 10-plus assists. The Fever flexed the 24-year-old’s historic feat after the WNBA announced the statistical mistake following the Mystics’ game.
“Stats from Friday’s game against the Mystics have been corrected, so she finished the game with 32 points & 10 assists ” the post read.

The 6-foot guard has started this season strong despite struggling with efficiency from the field.
Clark aims to put her injury-plagued campaign behind her and lead Indiana to a championship this year. The former Iowa Hawkeyes star played only 13 games in 2025 due to quad, ankle and groin issues. She sat on the bench for the entire playoffs but still attracted fans to arenas.
Indiana stands as one of the title favorites this season, especially with their superstar fully healthy and a bolstered roster in the offseason.
Clark turned in another strong performance on Sunday, leading Indiana to an 89-78 win over the Seattle Storm. The Fever superstar finished with 21 points on 5-of-10 shooting and 9-of-9 from the charity stripe. She also added seven rebounds, 10 assists, two blocks and two triples in just 24 minutes of play.
The Fever have improved to 2-2 as they head into a home matchup against the Portland Fire on Wednesday.
