Kelsey Plum, who last played for the Las Vegas Aces, will soon find herself in a brand new team as per recent rumors. Plum is presently looking for a new contract with her entering free agency. According to WNBA insider, Seerat Sohi, Plum may join the newly created Golden State Valkyries.
If she does join the Valkyries, Plum will get to play alongside the likes of Kate Martin, Stephanie Talbot, Carla Leite, Kayla Thornton, Temi Fagbenle, and many more. As per Sohi, Plum will play an integral part in creating a winning culture in the team.
“We had Natalie on the pod a couple weeks ago. And I think the thing that stood out most of me, is that she’s going to value competitiveness over just about everything, Then you look at Kelsey Plum, I don’t know that there’s a player that’s better to set a culture like that.” Seerat Sohi said on the ‘Ringer WNBA Podcast’.

Kelsey Plum will also have another comforting factor if she chooses to join the Golden State Valkyries. The Valkyries will be coached by Natalie Nakase who was previously an assistant coach for the Las Vegas Aces. Meanwhile, the Las Vegas Aces don’t seem ready to let Plum go and will try their best to retain her in the team.
Meanwhile, Kelsey Plum ’s ex-boyfriend Darren Walker recently released some new music, primarily for the NFL playoffs. Walker currently plays as a tight end for the New York Giants of the NFL, after playing for the Las Vegas Raiders and the Baltimore Ravens. The 32-year-old played college football for the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets before being drafted into the NFL back in 2015.
Apart from having a stellar football career, Walker also made strides in music. Last year, Walker’s song ‘Who Knew (Her Perspective)’ went viral after it seemed to diss his ex-girlfriend, Kelsey Plum. Plum and Walker were entwined in a romantic relationship for some time, but their breakup was widely publicized, especially after Walker’s track.
However, Walker went on to clear the air after the song’s release, remarking that the song was meant to be a part of his own personal healing and that he did not mean to hurt Plum’s feelings. The song was released with a video showing a Kelsey Plum-lookalike and also had a clip where the Plum-look-alike stabs Walker in the back. While many listeners commended Walker for the bop, many more trolled the footballer/rapper and his song.
