Game 2 on Tuesday night is pretty much a must-win game for the Las Vegas Aces. The Indiana Fever stole Game 1 on Sunday and are now looking to go up 2-0 in this WNBA playoffs semifinal series.
Games 3 and 4 will be in Indiana, too, which means that this could very well be Las Vegas’ last home game of the season if they lose.
Four-time WNBA MVP A’ja Wilson will do everything in her power to make sure that this does not happen. The seven-time All-Star wasted no time making her mark in this one, scoring 13 in the first half, along with four rebounds, an assist, two steals, one block and a triple in 18 minutes played.
Wilson made five out of her 10 field goal attempts in the opening half, en route to making WNBA playoff history. The Aces took to social media to announce the 29-year-old’s latest historic milestone.
“The M'VP is now 5th for most field goals made in @WNBA history! ✨” the team posted on X.

Wilson surpassed Hall of Famer Seimone Augustus, who has 362 made field goals to her name, for the No. 5 spot. Wilson now has 364 field goal makes in the playoffs, as of writing.
While this is another incredible accomplishment for Wilson, it won’t mean much if the Aces lose on Tuesday. Las Vegas is determined to secure a victory in Game 2, and it is in a good position to do so, holding a 46-35 lead at the break.
The Aces will need Wilson to be at her best in the second half, though, with this Fever team proving time and time again that there is no quit in them.
