Tuesday night was another game day for Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever, as they hosted the Connecticut Sun. The second-year WNBA star was back in action following a standout performance on Saturday, when she dropped a team-high 32 points in 31 minutes. That effort helped the Fever hand the defending champions New York Liberty their first loss of the season.
As usual, Clark’s pregame walk and outfit were captured and shared on social media. The official WNBA Instagram account posted a video with the caption: “Caitlin Clark Arrives!”
That post quickly went viral. Fans from across the league chimed in on her look for the night, and one of those comments came from none other than WNBA legend Lisa Leslie.
Leslie kept it simple and stylish:
“Clean CC,” she commented.
The two stars share more than social media attention. Both were dominant college players and high-profile pros. Leslie played college ball at USC before she was allocated to the Los Angeles Sparks during the WNBA’s inaugural season in 1997.
She wore No. 9 and played from 1997 to 2009, winning two WNBA titles and earning finals MVP in both. Leslie also collected three regular-season MVP awards and made eight All-Star appearances. Her No. 9 jersey is retired by the Sparks, and her No. 33 hangs at USC.
As for Clark and the Fever, they entered Tuesday’s game with a 5-5 record. After this home game, Indiana hits the road for three straight games, starting Thursday at Golden State, followed by matchups in Las Vegas and Seattle.
