The WNBA announced on Tuesday that Chicago Sky forward Angel Reese earned Eastern Conference Player of the Week honors for Week 4 (games played June 23-29), her second career nod.

During that span, Reese averaged a remarkable 19.7 points, 17.0 rebounds, 5.0 assists and 2.0 steals per game, while shooting 48.9% from the field and 92.3% from the free-throw line.

More importantly, the Sky went 2-1 in that stretch, snapping a three‑game skid with back-to-back wins over the Los Angeles Sparks.

The Sky’s official Instagram account celebrated Reese’s achievement with a single post, and among the first to weigh in was WNBA legend Lisa Leslie, who said, "I See You."

At just 23 years old, Angel Reese has already carved out an impressive resume.

A Randallstown, Maryland, native, she starred at Saint Frances Academy before enrolling at Maryland and transferring to LSU, where she helped lead the Tigers to the 2023 NCAA championship and earned the Final Four Most Outstanding Player award.

A No. 7 overall pick in the 2024 WNBA draft, Reese was named to the 2024 WNBA All‑Rookie Team and led the league in rebounds (13.1 per game) as a rookie, establishing herself as one of the game’s premier frontcourt talents.

Reese’s sophomore season in the WNBA has been studded with milestones.

On May 27, she became the fastest player in league history to amass 500 points and 500 rebounds, doing so in just 38 games, surpassing Tina Charles’s previous mark.

Two weeks later, she notched her first career triple‑double (11 points, 13 rebounds, 11 assists, plus five combined steals and blocks) in a win over the Connecticut Sun.

While Chicago as a whole has struggled through the first half of the season, currently sitting 5-11, fifth in the Eastern Conference and outside of playoff position, Reese has remained one of the most dominant young players in the WNBA.
